1995 was the first model year for these cars, so in just three years, the first examples will become legal to import to the US. According to the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , there is just one example in the United States: a silver 2000 V8 Evoluzione automatic that was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . How it legally got here (and was registered here) I do not know.
I’ve toyed with the idea of tracking one down, subjecting myself to the confusing process of importing, registering, and insuring it, and making it my personal Project Car Hell. I’ve long been in love with the Gandini design. But it’s next to impossible to find information on it. It was a rather obscure car even when it was new. I can’t find any online communities (a couple of fledgling, defunct forums turned up very little).
Does anyone have any kind of familiarity with these cars, or know of any good sources of information?

Would this be a Phaeton replacement, or would they live side by side?

Not sure, but while you’re at it you should also try looking for the practically imaginary Quattroporte II.

Yeah, I think they built like seven of those things.

Definitely not legal. Not even a little bit. And that example won’t be legal until it leaves the US again and is brought back in after it turns 25yo.

These are hilarious in a nineties way. But I’d kill for an MK3. They’re SO ugly in the best way

Beautiful Maser, man
idk the details but have the strong impression that Florida is...one might say...pretty flexible about working with owners to get their cars legally registered.
(btw huge thanks, Florida!)

Don’t put words in my mouth. Shoes are my sworn enemy.
